2022: The Foundation Year

The pivotal transition began in 2022 when Kyle Beard and the KJB Industries team took over the operational management of the Legend Cars W.A series for John Dennehy. Starting with just 6 registered cars, this marked the beginning of what would become a remarkable growth story for the division.

June 2023: The Acquisition

Following a successful year of series management, Kyle Beard and KJB Industries formally purchased the rights to Legend Cars W.A from John Dennehy in June 2023. This acquisition brought the series under the KJB Industries group of companies, providing the organizational structure and resources necessary for significant expansion.

Remarkable Growth Achievement

The transformation has been nothing short of extraordinary. From those initial 6 cars in 2022, the series has experienced unprecedented growth, registering 32 cars for the current season more than a five-fold increase in just three years. This growth trajectory represents one of the most successful expansions in Western Australian speedway history.

Diverse Competitor Demographics

One of the most remarkable aspects of Legend Cars W.A's evolution is the incredible age diversity among competitors. The series now features drivers ranging from 18 years old to 70 years old, truly embodying the sport's inclusive philosophy and demonstrating that competitive motorsport can unite generations on the same track.

Statewide Championship Series

Under the KJB Industries ownership, Legend Cars W.A has evolved into a comprehensive championship series that contests rounds across Western Australia. This expansion from a localized competition to a state-wide championship has elevated the profile of the series and provided competitors with diverse racing challenges across different venues and track conditions.

This growth story perfectly illustrates how the right combination of passionate leadership, business acumen, and community engagement can transform a motorsport division from a small local series into a thriving statewide championship that attracts competitors across multiple generations.

The success under KJB Industries' stewardship has established Legend Cars W.A as not just the most affordable speedway division in Western Australia, but also one of the fastest-growing and most inclusive motorsport categories in the state
